Some of the best emails we receive throughout the year are the emails from our past customers with photos of the items they found at our barn sale nestled into their own homes. It’s a rewarding feeling to see a unique vintage piece that we worked so hard to hunt down and bring back to our barn, find a loving home and a unique purpose.
As we prepare for our upcoming Spring Barn Sale (Mark your calendars! Our Spring Sale is April 11th, 13th, 14th & 15th), we wanted to share with you some of our recent customers’ Life’s Patina finds (#LPFind)!
One of our long-time loyal customers, Laura, recently purchased this vintage cream store counter that we acquired from one of our European importers. Laura was able to incorporate it into her indoor patio design beautifully. It will be perfect as a bar for entertaining as well!
A lovely couple purchased these two white barn doors at our Summer Barn Sale and worked them into their dinging room. How pretty is that?! We especially love the extra touch of the magnolia leaf wreaths on each door.
When we’re out scouring barns and old properties on our picking trips, my favorite thing to find is architectural salvage. We acquired the stunning wooden architectural piece above the mantle below from a local estate sale. I love to imagine all of the history this old piece has seen!
It’s always fun to see how creative our customers get with repurposing our vintage finds. One such customer recently bought the grey wooden tool box in the photo below and used it for book storage in their office.
A lovely young family came into our Spring Sale this past year looking for a natural wood mantle that they wanted to incorporate into the home they were currently building. Alas, we had the perfect fit! Their contractor was able to build the mantle into their family room and dining room area, shown below:

We found this stunning white corner cabinet on one of our picking trips down South last summer. Once we got it into the barn, it sold right away and found its home in this beautiful room below. I love how it’s especially showcased by the contrast of the white cabinet on the bright colored walls.
One of our creative customers purchased this metal “Be Grateful” sign at our Fall Barn Sale and then built this cute wooden frame for it. It gives the modern metal sign, a rustic finish. As you know, we love mixing old with new!
Our wonderful, kind and loyal customer, Heather, used our repurposed barn wood frames to create this gallery wall in her living room. Such a pretty way of incorporating family into your decor…
We love containers of all shapes and sizes at Life’s Patina so you can always find a wide assortment of jars, buckets, and organizational boxes in our barn. This past Halloween, a lovely customer of ours used an assortment of apothecary jars she found in our barn to create this pretty autumn centerpiece below. Voila!

In other exciting news, DIY Network television show, Stone House Revival, will be incorporating finds from our barn into several of their home designs! So keep an eye out for more LP Finds in several episodes this upcoming season starting in April.

Spring Preview: A Picnic on the Farm
Wednesday, April 11th: 11:30am – 2pm
Ticket fee includes first access to shop the barn, brunch, seasonal drinks and a donation to local charity, The Barn at Spring Brook Farm. Tickets will go on sale in mid February!
