Willowbrook Farm Venue Rental FAQ

May I use my own caterer?

We have our own Preferred Caterers to recommend, all of whom have experience with our venue and will work with you to ensure the very best experience as well as menu for your event here at our farm. The catering contract is separate from our Venue Rental contract, and is created between the client and the caterer.

Is the barn handicap accessible?

The inside staircase of the barn is original to the building, allowing access between the upper and lower levels. However, the barn is built into a bank, so it we have a natural grade to the property which allows both levels of the barn to be accessed right from ground level. This means that both levels are friendly for wheelchairs and walkers as well as strollers.

How many guests can the barn accommodate?

For private events, we can accommodate up to 100 guests for a seated meal.

Are overnight accommodations available at Willowbrook Farm?

Willowbrook Farm is a private residence, however we can recommend nearby locations for your overnight stay, whether you need a block of rooms for your wedding guests, a few rooms for the wedding party or a room to round out your shopping experience at our seasonal Barn Sale.

Is The Barn an all-season venue?

The Lower Barn is naturally cooled, as it is nestled into a bank, providing comfortable temperatures in summer months, and is heated in cooler months. The Upper Barn, in its original, uninsulated state, is subject to seasonal temperature changes. For this reason, the Upper Barn is made available for Private Event Rental during the mildest months.

Is smoking allowed in designated areas?

All smoking is prohibited at all times in all areas of the entire farm, both indoors and out.

Does Life’s Patina have an in-house wedding planner?

Your event contract includes a one hour consultation for the purpose of planning layout and event details, typically arranged in the month prior to your event date. We do not have a wedding planner on staff, but we can recommend one. Our consulting services are available by appointment at our hourly rate.

How do I reserve my date?

Complete our Event Inquiry Form here first. Julie will respond to you shortly, usually in a day or two. Once details are discussed and a date is agreed upon, a personalized contract and invoice will be emailed to you. The signed contract needs to be returned to Life’s Patina along with a non-refundable check for 50% of your venue rental fee to secure your date.

Are there time requirements for venue rentals?

We require a minimum of three hours for non-wedding events and include five hours for wedding packages.

Is alcohol service included in your event packages?

We allow the client to furnish their own alcohol for their event, giving you the pleasure of offering your personal favorite beverages to your guests while also providing great financial savings. Your stylized bar will be designed by our Creative Director and then staffed by the caterer’s experienced servers.

Can I hold my wedding ceremony on your farm?

Yes! We can add a wedding ceremony to any Wedding Package for an additional fee of $6 per chair.

If I add on an onsite wedding ceremony, does this include a ceremony rehearsal?

We understand that some couples want to hold a ceremony rehearsal prior to their Wedding Day. We will be pleased to accommodate this request in advance of your date, preferably one to two days preceding your date based on availability at the farm. A rehearsal is not included in your package, but would be billed separately by the hour. We recommend scheduling your rehearsal date and time in accordance with our availability prior to notifying your guests.

Do you allow a firework send off, balloon release or confetti toss for the wedding couple’s exit?

Willowbrook Farm is an environmentally conscious community. We recycle and minimize waste as much as possible. We disallow littering on the property and pollution downstream from the farm. We can not allow fireworks or sparklers due to their fire hazard as well as local noise ordinance. We can provide suggestions for safe options to make this moment memorable.

When may vendors set up for our wedding?

Because we block one day per event at our farm, all work on the property is to take place on your wedding date. Vendors may arrive as early as 9am to set up on your wedding date and must finish at least 2 hours in advance of the ceremony or reception start time. Vendors are responsible for the removal of their waste and must return to the farm by 10:00 on the day after the event to collect items they want to keep.
