Join us for our Summer Solstice High Tea at Life’s Patina Mercantile & Café on Sunday, June 28th from 4:30–6:30PM, as we gather to celebrate the longest day of the year in a setting filled with warmth, beauty, and the golden spirit of summer.
Inspired by wild gardens in full bloom, lingering evening light, and the magic of slow midsummer gatherings, this special afternoon is designed to feel like stepping into a romantic countryside fête — overflowing with seasonal florals, candlelight, fresh herbs, ripe berries, and thoughtfully layered details that invite guests to pause and savor the season.
Summer arrives wrapped in golden light, fragrant blooms, overflowing gardens, and the gentle hum of evenings spent outdoors. It is a season that calls us to gather barefoot in the grass, linger a little longer at the table, and celebrate the simple beauty of connection and abundance. This thoughtfully curated tea experience is designed to capture that midsummer magic through seasonal flavors, dreamy styling, and an atmosphere inspired by the enchantment of the Summer Solstice.
The afternoon will begin with a delicate amuse-bouche paired with a handcrafted seasonal spritzer — bright, herbaceous, and refreshing, like the first sip of summer itself. Guests are also welcome to bring their own bottle of champagne should they wish to add an extra touch of sparkle to the afternoon.
From there, guests will select from our curated collection of loose-leaf teas featuring delicate florals, sun-ripened citrus blends and calming herbal infusions inspired by the season. Each tea will be steeped and served in our traditional teapots to enjoy throughout the gathering.
Our menu will be presented on signature tiered trays styled with the abundance and romance of the season in mind. Expect delicate finger sandwiches layered with fresh herbs and garden vegetables, warm savory bites, house-made scones, and an assortment of petite sweets inspired by Summer — each thoughtfully crafted to feel whimsical, light, and celebratory.
